About the Two Pint Girl

Born and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area in Northern California, I've lived a somewhat nomadic life since graduating from high school, bouncing around between large metropolitan areas. Over the next eleven years, I called San Diego, Tokyo (Japan), Lusaka (Zambia), San Francisco, and Washington D.C. home. Now, after three years of life in the nation's capital where both Mr. TPG and I have been attending law school, we are picking up and moving westward to Carson City, Nevada for Mr. TPG's new job. Soon I will become a triple-degreed (B.A., J.D., M.A.) unemployed very lucky and employed resident of Nevada, which currently has the highest unemployment rate of all fifty U.S. states. I'm also excited about having more time to explore my new town and life away from the big city.

Why "Two Pint"?

I'm a petite five-foot tall gal of Japanese-American (5th generation) and Chinese-American (2nd generation) descent -- meaning I have a double dose of short genes and am small.  I suppose it could also reference my preference for beer over all other alcoholic beverages.

The title of my blog was born from the creativity of a colleague as we discussed post-law school life in the current economic climate and my imminent move to Western Northern Nevada after life in bigger cities. Though, after sharing a large meal, he quipped that I might need to be the "Three Pint Girl".

Who is Mr. TPG?

Mr. TPG could actually be TGG: Ten Gallon Guy. Raised in Houston, Texas, he proudly asserts that "everything is bigger and better in Texas," including himself. I think it's actually his Swedish genes that made him so tall. Next to him, I look like a One Pint Girl.
